HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Ol’ Man Winter is in firm control of our climate through the penultimate weekend of Christmas. The cold and rain and snow are doing little to deter folks from Christmas shopping or taking in evening church services.
Looking ahead, some school districts will deal with a coating of snow and slick winding roads. Delays will be most likely in eastern areas on Thursday morning where the air will be colder and more sticking snow can team with frozen mini-pools of water to hide slippery conditions.
Friday will start with an overnight snowfall still in progress then in time the snow will move away.
During the weekend, a dry Saturday will give way to an arctic snow overnight and bitter cold by Sunday night.
