WARREN - A Warren man pled guilty on Wednesday to a hit-skip crash that claimed the life of a retired Newton Falls teacher.
According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 63-year-old Wayne Keeley pled guilty to third-degree felony charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident, as well as a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter.
The charges stem from a deadly crash in October of 2025 when Keeley veered off the road and drove through the backyard of a home on Indiana Avenue in Niles. Keeley struck vehicles parked in the driveway, as well as 67-year-old Brenda Hibbard, a retired Newton Falls teacher.
Hibbard died of her injuries in the hospital.
