COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has signed an executive order authorizing the distribution of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funds to organizations supporting families and workforce development around the state, including those in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.
The order allocates up to $490,000 in each of the next two fiscal years to the Catholic Charities Regional Agency. The agency will utilize the funding to provide food assistance to eligible families in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.
Headquartered in Youngstown, Catholic Charities Regional Agency operates service sites in Warren and Lisbon. The organization offers basic needs assistance, including help with rent, utilities, prescriptions, and food, to individuals facing financial crises.
