KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man charged in connection with a deadly shooting at the Chiefs Championship Rally wants to delay his trial.
Lyndell Mays is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.
According to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, Mays was the first person to pull a firearm at the Feb. 14 rally before Dominic Miller, 18, fired the shot that killed Lisa Lopez-Galvan .
His trial is currently scheduled to begin in March.

Mays’ attorney filed a request asking for the court to grant a continuance in the case. The trial has already been delayed once.
