KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City contractor faces felony fraud charges after he allegedly took more than $15,000 from homeowners without finishing their work.
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway announced the charges on Wednesday, Dec. 10, against Jeffrey Griffin, who operates Griffin Quality Construction.
AG Hanaway noted that Griffin faces four counts of deceptive business practices and four counts of theft by deception in Jackson County.

Prosecutors alleged that Griffin took deposits from four Missouri homeowners for staircase remodeling services. He promised to provide materials and move them to the top of his list, but never completed the work.
