DES MOINES, Iowa —

Some MercyOne patients are being alerted to a data breach at their third-party technology vendor, Veradigm, after an unauthorized party used stolen credentials to access a storage account nearly a year ago.

The software company says the compromised data could include dates of birth, medical records, insurance and payment details.

Veradigm said there is no evidence the data has been misused and no MercyOne systems were directly affected.
