RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Nevada State Senator Lori Rogich is calling for a review and repeal of the new broker payment provision in the wake of allegations of insurance fraud in states like Minnesota and Maine.
The provision was added to Nevada’s appropriations bill SB4 during the recent special session. Rogich says she is concerned that such provisions have become avenues for large scale abuse of taxpayer funds.
“Legislating means making tough choices. I voted ‘yes’ on SB4 to secure vital SNAP funding and other critical appropriations for Nevada.
