A southeast Fort Wayne early learning center will close next month because of state cuts to child care assistance, Lutheran Social Services of Indiana announced today.
The decision to close Children's Village Early Learning Center was difficult, said Angie Moellering, CEO of the social services agency. Its last day is Jan. 16.
The facility has served more than 1,500 families through curriculum-based learning and an intergenerational model that includes chapel time, small-motor activities, sing-alongs and shared sessions in partnership with Lutheran Life Villages, a news release said.
