GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Jurors are weighing testimony from another day of trial for a man charged with ordering a home invasion in Gainesville that left a woman dead in 2022.

Patrick Watson is accused of ordering two men to commit a deadly robbery. The men who carried out the home invasion, Alderious White and Jason Ward, are already serving their sentences.

The prosecution started the day by having a former investigator look through photos of the crime scene and evidence. Then, witnesses who were in the home at the time of the shooting took the stand.

This includes Dovico Miles, whose home was the target of the home invasion, and his friend Candace Williams, who spent the night and was there when the shooting happened.
