CROSS CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - Federal authorities arrested an officer at Cross City Correctional Institution on charges related to sex crimes against children.

Officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office arrested Devin Waldeck, 35, of Cross City, on charges of sexual exploitation of children and distribution of material constituting child pornography.

Sources tell TV20, authorities raided a staff member’s apartment at the Cross City Correctional Institution, a state prison, on Friday.

Prosecutors say Waldeck faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted on the most serious charge.
