CLEMSON, S.C. —

We're getting the facts about connections between a development group and Jim Clements, the president of Clemson University, who recently announced his retirement .

Jim Clements was on the board of United Homes Group, a company that was responsible for building residential developments in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. That company also shares an address with East Shore South LLC, a group that owns a potential development property near Lake Keowee in Oconee County.

United Homes Group also has properties in the Clemson area.

In an October 17th County Council meeting , Oconee County leaders, led by Councilman Matthew Durham, raised questions about potential overlaps among Clemson leaders, including President Clements, developers, and multiple development
