Two people were found dead in Red Deer during an extreme cold snap last week.

On Nov. 30, RCMP were called when a 58-year-old man was found on a sidewalk.

The next morning, a 27-year-old man was found behind Parkland School.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said the men were not dressed for the extreme cold.

“We are awaiting results to determine the ultimate cause of this unfortunate death, and we do believe that that’s going to take some time before we know that for sure,” Savinkoff said.

According to Savinkoff, there is no evidence to show that there were drugs or suspicious activity involved.
