WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — One student is dead and another injured after a stabbing at North Forsyth High School on Tuesday, school and law enforcement officials confirmed. Here's a rundown of what we know and what we're still trying to find out as the investigation unfolds.
What happened?
Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said two students got into a fight at North Forsyth High School around 11 a.m. The fight led to a stabbing. WS/FCS Superintendent Don Phipps said one student died and the other was injured.
Where did the stabbing happen?
Several students and parents told WFMY News 2 the stabbing happened in a bathroom during a class change, though investigators have not confirmed the location of the incident.
