Opinion: Quebec’s political class is fuelling social fracture

Quebecers are increasingly confronted with a troubling question: Where is this province being led by its political class?

Recent years have revealed a pattern that is difficult to ignore — a pattern of mismanagement, deepening social division and a willingness by certain political parties, including the Coalition Avenir Québec government, to normalize policies that may erode trust, weaken unity and undermine fundamental rights.

Across Quebec, the public has watched government-funded projects turn into fiascos marked by scandal, poor planning and staggering cost overruns that have drained hundreds of millions of dollars. Too often, the government has delivered disappointment instead of competent, transparent stewardship.
