Deputy mayor for public safety submits resignation

Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Kaz Daughtry has submitted his resignation on Wednesday.

Daughtry began his career with the NYPD in 2005, and was appointed as deputy mayor for public safety by Mayor Adams in March.

With only a few weeks left until Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and his administration takes office, the news comes as other top officials in the Adams administration submitted their resignation letters, including First Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro .
