Since his first full NHL season in 2015, only one player has earned more points than Leon Draisaitl.
And if you don’t know who that is, you haven’t been paying attention to the Edmonton Oilers .
Now in his 11th year with the club, Draisaitl is closing in on one of the biggest milestones any hockey player would be fortunate to meet: The 1,000-point club.
Sitting at 994 points (416 goals, 578 assists) in 820 career games so far, Draisaitl is on pace to, at 1.21 points per game, put up the remainder over his next handful of games, give or take, and will likely occur over next week’s five-game road trip.
