APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - There are questions surrounding the management of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center, as the current contract between the city of Appleton and the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel is set to expire in just three weeks.

Back in July, the hotel notified the city of its intent to terminate their agreement, setting the stage for new negotiations.

Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford says negotiations will continue with the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel right up until the time the current contract ends, which is December 31st.

The issue was discussed during a meeting of the Appleton Redevelopment Authority Exhibition Center Advisory Committee this week.

So far, the city has offered a number of concessions to Hilton in a new contract, which includes committing up to $800,000 in improvement
