Coweta County firefighters responded to a house fire at 21 Wynn Street on Wednesday evening after neighbors reported seeing flames coming from the residence.

District Chief Don Pickford said units were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. and arrived to find fire venting through the roof and windows of an unoccupied single-family home. A total of 21 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

Crews brought the blaze under control within 23 minutes of arrival, but the home sustained significant fire and smoke damage throughout, Pickford said.

No injuries were reported.

The Coweta County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
