Sherrone Moore has been detained by police after he was fired by the University of Michigan.

On Wednesday (December 10), the university announced that Moore , 39, that has been fired as head coach of the Michigan Wolverines team following an investigation that he had “engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member,” according to ESPN .

Hours after his firing, Moore was detained by police.

Moore was reportedly involved in an incident that required police attention, the Saline chief of police confirmed to The Detroit News .

Saline borders Ann Arbor, the home city of the University of Michigan.

The police chief added that Moore was then turned Pittsfield Police Department “for investigation into potential charges.”
