HOULTON, Maine — A Houlton man was arrested in November in connection to child sexual abuse material.

On Nov. 3, a witness reported to Houlton police about seeing an adult man in possession of child sex abuse material, according to a news release from the Houlton Police Department.

Police, with assistance from Homeland Security, then obtained a warrant to search a phone, revealing several images of child sex abuse and other related data, according to the release.

Investigators interviewed another witness, with the Department of Health and Human Services also joining the investigation.
