Former Michigan Wolverines head football coach Sherrone Moore was reportedly in custody in the Washtenaw County Jail hours after his firing with cause over an "inappropriate relationship with a staff member, according to a press release sent by Pittsfield Charter Townshp to ESPN 's Pete Thamel .

"Pittsfield Charter Township sent ESPN this press release, which does not name Sherrone Moore but references 'investigating an alleged assault." Statement: "A suspect in this case was taken into custody....,'" Thamel wrote on his X account.
