WHITEHOUSE, Texas — Former Whitehouse Wildcat Jermod McCoy announced over social media that he is declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.

The defensive back committed to Oregon State as a three-start athlete out of Whitehouse. He entered the transfer portal after the 2023 season, and transferred to Tennessee, where he had a standout 2024 season, earning first-team All SEC Honors. He was also a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award.

An ACL injury sustained in training led him to missing the entire 2025 season, but he is still projected to go in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

In an Instagram post, McCoy thanks God, his coaches, academic staff, teammates, family and fans.
