After suffering through a car accident last January, Longmont boys basketball star Joey Foot had to sit out the remainder of the season with a concussion.
Without him, the Trojans made the push toward the second round of the Class 5A state tournament, but ultimately fell to eventual state champion Windsor. They missed his presence “big time,” according to head coach Jeff Kloster, and on Wednesday night in their home opener, he proved just why.
From start to finish, the senior small forward commanded the floor, consistently finding ways to drive to the pain and score. He finished his night with 22 points as the Trojans went on to beat Montbello 71-34.
