Investigators sought help from the public Wednesday in identifying three people who bombarded California Highway Patrol officers on a Los Angeles freeway during violent protests against federal illegal immigration raids earlier this year.
The three males are alleged to have thrown large rocks from an elevated position above southbound lanes of the Hollywood (101) Freeway on June 8, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“These assaults endangered the lives of numerous sworn CHP officers and resulted in thousands of dollars of damage to law enforcement vehicles,” according to an LASD statement that was accompanied by images of the culprits in action.
According to the sheriff’s department, the trip appeared to be part of a larger group riding pocket bikes who arrived
