The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a 24-hour water shutdown in several parts of Mumbai on December 12 and 13. This temporary cut is necessary to complete major pipeline connection work across three key wards: K/East, H/East, and G/North.

The work will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, and continue until 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025. During this time, some areas will experience a complete water outage, while certain locations in the K/East ward will receive water at low pressure.

According to officials, the project is crucial and cannot be delayed, as it involves linking large pipelines to improve Mumbai’s water supply in the long term.
