Panaji: The Luthra brothers linked to the Goa nightclub fire were detained in Thailand, according to media reports. The process has been initiated to deport them to India to face trial, a Hindustan Times report quoting sources claimed.
The report also claims that the external affairs ministry (MEA) is examining a request from the Goa government to revoke the passports of Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra. The Luthras are the co-owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in North Goa, where a devastating fire killed at least 25. Soon after the incident, the brothers had reportedly fled the country.
