The Narbonne High School girls’ varsity basketball team entered Wednesday’s tournament match under unexpected circumstances after all of their equipment was stolen from the team van the night before.

Thieves made off with at least 10 bags Tuesday night as the Harbor City team was having dinner at a fast-food restaurant in Alhambra after their match. Uniforms, shoes, school laptops and other personal items were stolen.
