ELBERTON, Ga. — A 15-year-old boy turned himself in Wednesday afternoon in connection with a deadly shooting of a teenage McDonald’s employee in northeast Georgia.
Police said the suspect, whose name is not being released because of his age, will be charged with murder.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation and said additional charges are likely.
Family members identified the victim as 17-year-old Dontavius Marable.
Elberton Police said their officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s on Elbert Street on Tuesday around 10:19 p.m.
On scene, officers found Marable lying on the floor of the restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds.
