Wetherspoon is opening five new UK pubs in December. The pub chain has confirmed the opening dates for seven new pubs in the last few months of 2025 and the start of 2026 - with five in December.

JD Wetherpoon, which operates nearly 800 pubs across the UK, has seen trading continue to strengthen in recent months. It revealed that it achieved revenues totalling £2.13 billion for the year ending July 27.

This represented a 4.5% increase compared to the previous year, while like-for-like sales - which excludes the effect of pub openings and closures - rose by 5.1%.
