Vincent Battiloro is charged with two counts of murder for allegedly striking the girls with the Jeep he was driving as they rode on an e-bike on Burnside Avenue on Sept. 29. He was driving 70 mph on the residential street and raced away from the scene, authorities allege.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office, which did not name Battiloro since he was 17 at the time of the crime, has not indicated whether they plan to try him in adult court.
Lawyers for the girls’ parents on Wednesday say that prosecutors should.
