A 34-year-old former convict has been charged in connection with gunpoint robberies committed from his car in a third New Jersey town.
Ewing police allege Bilal J. Bellamy robbed a woman of money on Ranchwood Drive at 9:35 a.m. and minutes later robbed people on Parkway Avenue.
In the Parkway Avenue robbery, Bellamy fired a shot and fled with one victim’s wallet, credit cards and cash, according to police.
The crime spree started in South Brunswick when Bellamy robbed one person and tried to rob a second , according to police in the Middlesex County town.
Shortly after that Bellamy drove into neighboring Plainsboro and pointed a gun at a driver on Mapleton Road during an attempted robbery. He then continued south into Ewing.
