Brave Angus MacDonald has revealed his family’s latest cancer fight. ‌

The former Aberdeen star has confirmed his dad, Robert, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. ‌

The defender had his own battle, as he recovered from bowel cancer earlier in his career and managed to continue his career. ‌

MacDonald, speaking in an emotional interview with Record Sport , said: “It is even closer to my heart because on the 9th day of doing Movember my dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“He is not too bad. A couple more appointments and stuff and then we will know the extent of things and the treatment going forward.

“Hopefully, we will get a bit more positive news on this side of Christmas. ‌
