The winter session of Parliament is currently underway, and a controversy has erupted over the use of e-cigarettes inside the House. The BJP has gone on the offensive after three MPs were allegedly seen smoking e-cigarettes in Parliament. BJP MP Anurag Thakur has accused three members of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) of using e-cigarettes inside the Lok Sabha.
Thakur has also complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The Speaker has said that he will take action once a formal written complaint is submitted. However, the names of the three TMC MPs involved have not yet been disclosed.
