When Kathryn Lord, 38, changed careers from primary school teacher to nanny, working for ultra-high-net-worth families , she swapped canteen lunches for private chefs, classrooms for marble staircases and playground duty for trips on safari, travelling by private jet. But advocating for children remained central to her role: “I’m an extra person to love the children,” she says.
