COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State football assistant Chip Kelly has interviewed for the Georgia Tech offensive coordinator opening, according to a report from On3 .
Kelly was OSU’s offensive coordinator last season, helping lead the Buckeyes to their ninth national title in program history.
After one year in Columbus, Kelly left for the NFL. He spent 11 games as the Raiders’ offensive coordinator this year before getting fired.
Following Kelly’s departure from OSU, receivers coach Brian Hartline was promoted to offensive coordinator. After one year of calling plays for coach Ryan Day, Hartline was hired last week as South Florida’s next head coach.
His departure opened up a coaching search for Day. Kelly is seemingly a candidate to return to Columbus, but the Yellow Jackets are in
