Last year’s boys hockey state championship was one of the best we’ve ever seen.

Bishop Hendricken rallied for a 3-2 triumph in triple overtime vs. Prout. We would all be lucky if the 2025-26 season ends with similar drama at Schneider Arena. The Hawks and Crusaders will again be amongst the state’s top programs. We can also write in La Salle and Moses Brown – two semifinalists from last winter – into the mix.

The Quakers took Prout to double overtime in the semis before falling and I like what the Providence school is returning this year. La Salle was young a year ago and should build on its 10-win season.
