West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader took on the Centre yet again over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, saying it is being used to snatch away the rights of women, and urged them to fight with their kitchen tools if their names are removed from the voter list.

Addressing a public event in Krishnanagar, Mamata Banerjee said, “Why is SIR not taking place in Assam? Is it because it’s a BJP state? They will snatch away the rights of mothers and sisters under the garb of SIR. They will bring the Delhi Police during the election to intimidate women."
