The Powerball jackpot ballooned to an astonishing $1 billion after no one claimed the $930 million drawing Wednesday night, extending the winless streak to 41 drawings.

The winning numbers were 10, 16, 29, 33, 69, and 22 as the Powerball.

Saturday’s highly anticipated drawing will be for the seventh-largest prize in the game’s history, right behind the $1.08 billion jackpot won on July 19, 2023, in downtown Los Angeles.

Powerball hasn’t seen a winner since two players in Missouri and Texas split the $1.787 billion prize on Sept. 6, the second-largest lottery prize ever.

Both players, who chose to remain anonymous, selected the one-time cash option and each received roughly $410.3 million.
