You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who thought Sherrone Moore was going to lead Michigan football to the heights Jim Harbaugh and Connor Stalions had in recent years.
From that perspective, Moore’s unceremonious exit Wednesday — fired for an inappropriate relationship with a staffer — doesn’t benefit Michigan State in an obvious way. Other than the sadistic satisfaction folks might get from watching their rival be embarrassed, and the relief of having the shoe on the other foot.
