SAN ANTONIO — A man was hospitalized late Wednesday after being shot during an attempted robbery on the west side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened around 11:05 p.m. in the 3000 block of West Salinas. Investigators said the victim, an adult male, had been visiting a friend at an apartment on Timber View Drive before leaving the area.
According to SAPD, the man was approached by two unknown males with a gun who demanded his chain. One of the suspects then shot the victim twice in the arm, police said.
The victim fled in his vehicle, drove back to his home and called for help. He was transported to University Hospital with non–life-threatening injuries, according to police.
