Home prices in Colorado have largely climbed for more than a decade, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But home values are sliding across much of the country, and Colorado is not immune, according to a recent report by Zillow.
Average Colorado home values dropped 2.3% over the past year to $535,778.
In an additional sign of the market cooling, five years ago you would have had to offer over the would-be list price for a home before it was technically on the market to secure it in many cases, but now the market has cooled off to where it takes around 42 days on average to go from listing a home to a pending sale.
