WATERTOWN — The community is invited to join the Trumbull-Porter Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and members of the Waterbury Veterans Memorial Committee at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, at the Old Burying Grounds on Depot Street in Watertown to honor veterans.

A dedication will be read and wreaths for each of the Branches of the Armed Forces and POW/MIA will be placed in the cemetery, as well as wreaths for all known veterans buried in the cemetery.

During the past 70 years, the two groups have joined together to hold a Wreaths Across America ceremony. For the first four years, the event was held in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury. This will be the 12th year that the ceremony is held in Watertown.
