A fire has closed part of Edinburgh city centre today after blaze broke out in a flat ‌

Emergency services were called to Heriot Bridge in the city's Old Town following reports of a fire this morning, Thursday, December 11. ‌

Edinburgh Grassmarket has been closed by emergency services as they respond to the incident. At around 10.40am, police, fire and ambulance services were called to the area after a fire broke out within a property, reports Edinburgh Live . ‌

Emergency services remain in attendance. It's not yet known if there have been any injuries.
