ATLANTA — An illegal voting case involving former Georgia Republican Congressman Drew Ferguson was resolved by the State Election Board on Tuesday in a case that highlighted the specifics of change-of-address and voter registration rules.
The board unanimously voted 2-0 to issue a letter of instruction, essentially a guidance communication, to the former representative over a complaint referred to the SEB alleging he had voted using an old address in 2022.

A representative on Ferguson's behalf requested the case be dismissed Tuesday, and argued his case was not a typical case of voting with an outdated registration because of his federal service in D.C.
