Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, speaking to reporters in Dibrugarh on Thursday, confirmed the development. “The SIT will submit the chargesheet tomorrow. Once the Court examines it, we are confident the culprit will be punished. From tomorrow, the police’s work ends, and the Court’s work begins,” he said.

The SIT under the Assam CID has prepared a voluminous chargesheet following an extensive investigation into the singer’s death in Singapore on September 19. The chargesheet will be filed at the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Guwahati.
