Ex- Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has been detained by police, arrested and booked in Washtenaw County Jail, according to court record.

The Pittsfield Township Police Department said in a statement on Wednesday, Dec. 10, that officers responded to a call on the 3000 block of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. for an alleged assault investigation.

Police did not share much information, but said "a suspect in this case was taken into custody," while also adding the incident didn't appear to be random.
