WARREN, Ohio - Attorneys for the city of Warren and the owners of a shuttered convenience store are negotiating a potential settlement that could resolve a lawsuit filed after a fatal shooting on the property.
The City of Warren and 1409 Elm Realty, Inc. filed a joint motion Tuesday requesting a delay in a permanent injunction hearing originally scheduled for Thursday before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sarah Thomas Kovoor.
According to the court filing, the parties are currently discussing a resolution to the matter and require additional time to finalize the details.
The motion, submitted by City Law Director Enzo Cantalamessa and defense attorney Thomas C. Nader, stipulates that the temporary restraining order issued Aug. 7 will remain in effect until a rescheduled hearing. Th
