CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - A Stark County Grand Jury indicted a Canton woman and her mother in connection with the murder of a 54-year-old Canton man.

Yolanda R. Lowery, 54, was indicted on the charges of:

Aggravated murder

Kidnapping

Murder

Felonious assault

Tampering with evidence

Gross abuse of a corpse

Dorothy Lowery, 70, was indicted on the charges of:

Aggravated murder

Kidnapping

Murder

Felonious assault

Tampering with evidence

Gross abuse of a corpse

Jerry Morris, 54, was found dead in Akron on Aug. 1.

His cause of death has not been released.

Canton police said they worked with Akron police and determined Morris was killed in Canton.

The mother and daughter were taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force on Oct. 21.
