The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed beach replenishment on the north side of the Indian River Inlet in Delaware Seashore State Park, but the rate of storm damage to Delaware’s ocean beaches over the last few years means always looking ahead.
The future remains unsure. Delaware's ocean beaches were last replenished, all at once, in 2023. Since then, there has been no funding appropriated for replenishment, except at the Indian River Inlet.
