CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Charlottesville City Schools is giving back to families this holiday season by distributing $100 grocery cards to support household needs.
According to the division, the initiative is being funded by a community donor. School officials say they are prepared to provide cards to as many as 1,400 families, a total of $140,000 going directly back into the community.
